Edlington Parks & Green Spaces

Edlington Parks & Green Spaces

On Thursday 21st April, 2022 Edlington Deputy Mayor Steve Reardon, Ward Councillor & Edlington Town Councillor Rob Reid along with Edlington Town Councillor Linda Smith conducted a walk round visit of all of the parks and green spaces across Edlington, this follows a number of complaints and issues raised about the poor condition and overall lack of pleasant parks in the area.

We visited all of the parks except the Recreation ground as that park is owned and managed by Edlington Town Council whereas the others are owned and managed by the Doncaster Council.

We took a number of photographs and took note of a range of issues and concerns and we will be formerly raising these with the appropriate department within Doncaster Council, we also have a few ideas that we discussed which could improve some of the parks and we will be discussing these with other Town Council Members very soon.

This was a really good and informative visit to these parks and we will be lobbying Doncaster Council and hope over coming months to see some improvements to these park areas.

However we would also like your thoughts and ideas on what you believe is required or that you would like to see happen within these areas. If you use the parks or just have ideas please email them to stevereardon@edlingtontowncouncil.gov.uk with the details of the park area and what you would like to see or fixed.
