At yesterday afternoon's annual Town Council meeting, Councillor Steve Reardon was elected as Town Mayor for the year ahead (2022/23). Steve is pictured being congratulated by the outgoing Mayor Joan Briggs, also been appointed as Deputy Mayor for the year ahead.Steve thanked his fellow Councillors in appointing him as Mayor and undertook to endeavour to try to secure/lobby for noticeable improvements in the village during his term. In addition, he outlined that one of his immediate aims was to engage with local Edlington businesses large and small within the next few weeks by setting up a liaison/meet and greet session at the Grainger Centre to discuss local issues and concerns and how the Town Council can work collaboratively with them in the months ahead.
