Town Councillor vacancy

There is currently one Member vacancy on Edlington Town Council.

The council can now fill this vacancy by co-option, which is a process whereby the council considers applications from interested persons and can then select someone to fill the seat.

If you are interested in becoming a town councillor, please write to the Town Council Clerk and include a few details of why you would like to become a councillor, the skills you possess and what you think you can bring to the Town Council.

Details about the qualification for being a councillor are attached to this notice and the form must be completed and returned to the Clerk with your application. If you have any further queries about the role, please contact Simon Oldham, the Clerk on the above number. The deadline for submission of applications/expressions of interests is 4pm on Monday 7th November, 2022.

Any prospective applicant will be invited to attend the Town Council meeting on 15th November, 2022 at 6.30pm in the Grainger Centre to speak further in relation to their application to enable further consideration by the Council on the potential co-option on to the Town Council.
