Today I am extremely disappointed to learn that Edlington has been unsuccessful in the 'levelling up bid' that Doncaster Council submitted to the Government for the improvements to our town and for a new Leisure Centre.

All of the Town Councillors and I am sure all of you, are very unhappy to hear this news today, we all had high hopes of getting the funding to work on the many planned improvements that Edlington desperately needs.

My thanks does go out to all parties, including your Town Councillors for the work and efforts they made in placing, in what we thought was a good and worthwhile bid for this funding that we know is greatly needed

I want to ensure you that your Town Council are now making every effort to work with DMBC and Nick Fletcher, our local MP on what we now do to ensure that some of the major improvements we need for our village, like the Swimming Baths are discussed and moved forward by exploring other potential funding streams and opportunities that might be available or present themselves
