The Town Council have submitted it's draft annual return to the external auditor (PKF Littlejohn) - the annual governance statement and accounting statements for the year ending 31/3/22.

The public have the right to inspect the Council's financial records during the period 13/6/22 to 22/7/22 by contacting the Town Clerk.

At yesterday afternoon's annual Town Council meeting, Councillor Steve Reardon was elected as Town Mayor for the year ahead (2022/23). This year marks the centenary since the first interment in 1922 in Edlington Cemetery. To mark the occasion, the Town Mayor, Joan Briggs planted an oak tree, also marked with a commemorative plaque. The oak tree also being formally registered as part of the Queen's Jubilee canopy scheme. The planting event was also attended by Town Councillors Rob Reid, Jan Devanney and Victoria Whittemore.

At an extraordinary meeting of the Town Council yesterday, Cllr Rob Reid was awarded the honorary title of Freeman of the Parish of Edlington. The Town Mayor, Joan Briggs presented Rob with a freedom scroll and the occasion was marked with the attendance of family and friends as well as DMBC Elected Mayor Ros Jones to mark this honour and memorable occasion.
